Château du Fresne, a winery estate in Anjou

Château du Fresne was founded in 1982 through the partnership of two winemaking families from Faye d’Anjou: the Robin family and the Bretault family. Today, it is an evolving estate, with the third generation now at the helm of the vineyard: Yannis Bretault, David Maugin, and Olivier Bretault.

Located to the west of the Loire Valley, in the heart of Anjou, the family business and its vineyard cover nearly 80 hectares. Château du Fresne cultivates 8 grape varieties, with the three main ones being the emblematic varieties of Anjou: Chenin, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon. With 8 AOCs, 2 IGPs, and 18 cuvées, the estate offers a range of varied and high-quality wines that are sure to please every palate.

Château du Fresne is present in European markets and the broader export sector, but the majority of our clientele consists of private customers. We prioritize direct sales and deliver across France between 2 to 5 times a year, allowing us to maintain strong relationships with our customers. Some figures: over 30 weeks of delivery each year, 45 customers delivered on average each week, 70 departments delivered at least twice a year, over 400 cases of wine delivered each week…
