Terroir The grapes come from 20 to 45 year-old vines. The soils are not deep and mainly composed of rocks.

Vinification : This wine is made from overripe grapes that are concentrated by the noble rot. Exclusively handharvested, then slowly pressed to extract a favorful juice. The low temperature fermentation lasts several weeks.

Tasting notes Enjoyable, Bright, Gourmet. Generous quince aromas, white fruit overtones, fig jam notes.

Serving temperature : Between 8 and 10°C.

Ageing potential : Up to 10 years.

Pairings Foie gras, persey cheese, soft paste cheese, white and yellow fruits based desserts, dark chocolate.

 

Residual sugars : 55g/L

Alcool : 12,5% alc./vol.

Château du Fresne is present in European markets and the broader export sector, but the majority of our clientele consists of private customers. We prioritize direct sales and deliver across France between 2 to 5 times a year, allowing us to maintain strong relationships with our customers.
