Terroir : On the side of Faye, vines grow on degraded schists from schists and clay origins.
Vinification : Harvested by hand, slightly before over-ripeness, destemmed before a three week maceration. Slowly and respectfully pressed, allowing the typicity of the terroir to express.
Aged 24 months in oak barrels.
Tasting notes : Nice structure and harmonious tannins very promising. Red and black fruits aromas, notes of leather and vanilla.
Serving temperature : Between 16 and 18°C.
Ageing potential : Up to 15 years.
Pairings : Red meat, ribeye steak, meat with sauce, soft paste cheese, chocolate desserts.
Residual sugars : <2g/L
Alcool : 13% alc./vol.

Château du Fresne is present in European markets and the broader export sector, but the majority of our clientele consists of private customers. We prioritize direct sales and deliver across France between 2 to 5 times a year, allowing us to maintain strong relationships with our customers.
